21st Muenster Spring Symposium - Possibilities and limits of conservative versus surgical therapies

On 22 February 2014, the 21st Münster Spring Symposium was once again held under the patronage of the German Surgical Foundation. This year's topic was "Possibilities and limits of conservative versus surgical therapies". As in previous years, the symposium was very well attended by over 1000 dentists. The event was once again held in the Halle Münsterland Congress Centre. With their presentations, the outstanding speakers offered the audience an innovative programme of science for practice. The well-established industry exhibition gave dentists the opportunity to exchange ideas during the break.

Fascination of Surgery" congress"

Die Deutsche Chirurgiestiftung hat am 27. September 2014 zum vierten Mal den Fachkongress „Faszination Chirurgie“ durchgeführt. Die Veranstaltung wurde erstmals als öffentliche Informationsveranstaltung für interessierte Laien konzipiert und widmete sich dem Thema Herzmedizin. Ziel war es, der Bevölkerung Schwierigkeiten und Vorgehensweisen im Bereich der Herzmedizin transparent zu machen. Neben Vorträgen zweier renommierter Herzmediziner fand im Anschluss daran eine Round Table Diskussion zum Thema „Wie ist eine optimale Behandlung langfristig für alle sicherzustellen?“ statt. Moderiert wurde die Runde, an der neben Medizinern auch Vertreter aus Politik und Gesundheitswesen teilnahmen, von der bekannten Journalistin Ursel Sieber, Koautorin des Buches „Enteignet“. Die Veranstaltung war öffentlich, der Eintritt frei.

The German Surgical Foundation held the "Fascination of Surgery" congress for the fourth time on 27 September 2014

The event was conceived for the first time as a public information event for interested laypeople and was dedicated to the topic of cardiac medicine. The aim was to make the difficulties and procedures in the field of cardiac medicine transparent to the general public. In addition to presentations by two renowned cardiologists from, the event was followed by a round table discussion on the topic of "How can optimal treatment be ensured for everyone in the long term?". The round table was hosted by the well-known journalist Ursel Sieber, co-author of the book "Expropriated", and was attended by medical professionals as well as representatives from politics and the healthcare sector. The event was open to the public and admission was free.
